Good for simple scraping

I used the No-Code Web Scraper for a small project. It was easy to set up and extracted the data I needed quickly. The interface was straightforward. Got my data into a CSV without any fuss. It worked well.

Reliable for job board data

I needed to pull job listings regularly for a side project and the Job Board Scraper worked great. I was worried it wouldn't handle the dynamic content, but it scraped everything I wanted. I even set up scheduled scrapers which was a lifesaver. The data extraction robots were surprisingly robust and I didn't have any issues with pages that required login. It's really intuitive, even for someone who's not super technical like me. Definitely going to keep using it for future projects and will tell my friends about it!

Really helped with product tracking

I needed to keep an eye on some competitor prices, so I gave the Competitor Price Tracker a shot. It was pretty cool how fast I got it running. I actually hooked it up to Google Sheets, which was super convenient. Setting up the robot took a bit of fiddling to get exactly right, but once it was going, it just did its thing. Saved me a bunch of manual checking. I'd recommend it if you're tracking stuff regularly.

Thinking about getting Browse AI for scraping LinkedIn profiles for recruitment. Is it safe to use for that? Don't want to get my account banned or anything.

N NikhilS 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
I use it for LinkedIn, but I'm super careful. I stick to public profiles, use residential proxies through their add-on, and keep the scraping frequency low. Haven't had an issue yet.

D Deepak91 1 month ago
Good to know. The residential proxy add-on sounds like a must then.
5
N NikhilS 1 month ago
Definitely. And don't go crazy with the speed, that's usually how accounts get flagged.

R RaviK 1 month ago
I've heard mixed things. Some people say it's fine, others have gotten temporary locks. It's a bit of a grey area with their terms of service.
3
D Deepak91 1 month ago
Yeah, that's my main concern. Don't want to risk it if it's too iffy.
8
A Anjali 1 month ago
I stick to job boards for recruitment data. Less hassle, less risk. LinkedIn is a bit too strict for my comfort.
5
D Deepak91 1 month ago
That's a fair point. I'll check out their job board scraper first maybe.

It works really well for those!

Has anyone had luck finding a student discount for Browse AI? My annual plan is coming up for renewal and trying to save some cash.

R Rahul87 1 month ago
I looked into that a while back for my friend. I don't think they have an official student discount listed on their site directly. Maybe try their support? Sometimes smaller companies offer them if you just ask.

A AishaM 1 month ago
Good idea, I'll send them a message. Thanks!

I got 20% off my annual plan during their Black Friday sale last year. If you can wait, maybe they'll have something similar around that time again?
6
C coolboy88 1 month ago
Black Friday is usually the best for these kinds of tools.
6
A AishaM 1 month ago
That's a good discount. My renewal is in a couple of months, so maybe I can wait.

V Vikas 1 month ago
You could also look for referral codes. Sometimes people share those and you get a discount, and they get credits.
1
A AishaM 1 month ago
True, I've seen those pop up on Reddit before.

Anyone got one they can share?

can you stack a referral code with an annual discount? or is it just one coupon at a time?

E Elena 2 months ago
I don't think you can stack them. My understanding is they mostly do automatic discounts for annual plans anyway, and referral stuff gives you credits. So it's not like you're entering two codes.
3
R Rachel 2 months ago
Nah, I'm pretty sure their system isn't set up for stacking. You usually get one or the other, or credits for referrals rather than a direct discount code you'd combine.

Does Browse AI actually work on sites that require a login? Or is that just for publicly accessible pages?

J Jared Beaumont 3 months ago
Yep, it totally does. You can set it up to log into sites, I've used it for a few different member-only dashboards without issues.
2
S Sophie Z. 3 months ago
Confirmed, they have a feature specifically for login-protected sites. Pretty cool, saves a lot of manual checking.

Finally switched over to Browse AI from ParseHub. The UI is so much cleaner and it just feels faster. Still figuring out the credit system though.

S SoniaD 2 months ago
ParseHub was just too clunky for me. Glad you found something better!
0
R RajatS 2 months ago
Agreed, their UI was a pain.
6
N NehaG 2 months ago
How do the credits actually work? Is it per page or per data point?
1
N NehaG 2 months ago
So a lot of pagination would chew through them fast then?
7
V VikramP 2 months ago
It's usually per action, like loading a page, clicking an element, or extracting data. They have a breakdown on their pricing page.
5
P PriyaK 2 months ago
Welcome to the club! I made that switch last year. The speed difference is definitely noticeable. Credits can be a bit confusing at first but you get the hang of it.
7
A Ankit89 2 months ago
Just run a small test first, it gives a good estimate.
8
R RajatS 2 months ago
Yeah, trying to gauge how many credits a complex scrape will take. Any tips?

Just got an email about my Browse AI subscription renewal and the price jump is wild. Anyone else experience this? I was on an annual plan, thought it would be more stable.

S Sneha 2 months ago ✓ Best Answer
Mine stayed the same, but I bought it during a Black Friday sale. Maybe those terms are different?
10
P PriyaS 2 months ago
Oh, that's interesting. I wonder if the Black Friday deals lock in the price for longer.
2
S Sneha 2 months ago
Could be. I remember seeing something about extended discounts then.

A AmitM 2 months ago
Following. I'm coming up on my renewal in a few months, good to know what to expect.
3
C coolboy88 2 months ago
Definitely check your original sign-up terms. Mine had a clear 'promo ends after 12 months' note somewhere.
1
R Rahul87 2 months ago
Yeah, mine went up too. I think the initial discount was a 'first year only' kind of thing. Kinda frustrating they don't make that clearer upfront.
9
R Rahul87 2 months ago
I did, they just pointed to the terms. No flexibility.
3
P PriyaS 2 months ago
Exactly! Felt a bit misled honestly. Did you try contacting support about it?

How do these guys stack up against PhantomBuster? I've used PB before but looking for alternatives.

M Mark E. 2 months ago
I've used both. Browse AI feels a bit more straightforward for just scraping data, especially with turning sites into APIs. PhantomBuster can do more 'action' stuff but can be a bit more fiddly.
5
R Rachel Bennett 2 months ago
For pure scraping and monitoring, I actually prefer Browse AI. PB feels like it tries to do too much sometimes. Plus, Browse AI's pre-built recipes are super handy.

Is there usually a Black Friday deal? Thinking about getting a yearly plan but could wait if there's a big discount coming up.

S Sam C. 3 months ago
Yeah, they usually do something around Black Friday / Cyber Monday. I got a pretty sweet deal last year, like 40-60% off I think. Might be worth holding out for.
1
C Colin 3 months ago
They definitely have Black Friday discounts. It's one of their 'seasonal peaks' for deals. I'd check back then if you're not in a rush.
